Dimitra Kahrimanidis

• is a Greek-Canadian singer, musician, songwriter and lute player.  She is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and she is currently studying at University of Toronto, Faculty of Music in Canada, majoring Voice. 
• Dimitra has participated in discs (“Ti kala to leei t’aidoni”, “The Old Song of Small Aegean”) and TV shows (“Radio Arvila”, ”Oloi oi kaloi horane”, etc) in Greece.
  
• She has performed in many festivals and collaborated with artists and groups in Greece, Canada, USA and plans on continuing to expand her reach. Dimitra is also growing and audience through her Spotify and Youtube channel where she posts her music and covers.

• Musical Studies: Kavala’s Music Odeon (Conservatory) Harmony, trumpet and vocals.
• York University, music composition (B.F.A.)
• Performed in various events such as festivals and Association dances with the band “OPA OPA” and played in Greek restaurants and clubs around Canada U.S.A. and South America for the last 30 years in various settings with many different musicians and singers.
• Also played keyboards for several famous Greek singers in Toronto concerts such as Giota Negka, Stelios Dionisiou, Velli, Koukka, Klonaridis, Maximos, Stavento and many others.
• Specialized in Greek folk and modern music as well as Italian, Spanish and English music.
• One of the first musicians (if not the first) that used the trend of Keyboard arrangers since 1990 in Canada, when the concept was still new here and in Greece.
